Grandmas Hot Sauce

About

What began in a humble kitchen in Georgetown, Guyana in 1974 was more than just a sauce, it was a tradition. Passed down through generations, Grandma Chandra’s original hot sauce recipe was lovingly crafted with bold flavours, patience, and care, becoming a staple at the family table.

Decades later, that legacy has been thoughtfully revived by her granddaughter, Kapana Feldano, breathing new life into the recipes while honouring their roots. With a deep respect for tradition and an eye toward the future, Kapana has rebooted Grandma Chandra’s sauces for a new generation, preserving the soul of the originals while refining them for today’s palate.

Kapana brings over 16 years of experience working in the food industry. Her journey spans creating and hosting a food travelogue series titled The Food Diaries, food styling, and recipe development for major food brands and commercials. This extensive background is reflected in every detail of the sauces, from balanced flavour profiles to thoughtful craftsmanship, and throughout the brand as a whole.

Today, Grandma Chandra’s sauces are a celebration of heritage, family, and flavor. With hopes of sharing this cherished taste of Guyana around the world, the brand stands as a tribute to where it all began and where it’s going next.
